Guita and I are your average couple, living a comfortable lifestyle……all due to our fresh approach to life. We are blessed to live in Monterey California, among the splendor of the Monterey Bay and the magnificent pine trees. We truly are “solemates”. She is a Language Professor with the Department of Defense, and I am a Business Development Director for a Social Games & Entertainment Company.

I have been searching for quite some time now for a way to “give back”. My priority on making my decision on how to do this had to be first and foremost a passion for me! I knew if the passion was there from the start, I would never get tired or bored. They say “everything in its own time”.

A Very Subtle Example Of How My Behavior Has Changed, Since Making My Paradigm Shift.

We all have received calls, usually around dinner time from telemarketers or some sort of Survey Company. Bottom line, they almost always want to trade a product or service for your money……right? They’re full of “open end questions”, and make us feel like we’re being lead down a path of some sort.

So I thought I would out-smart these callers, and get a “caller ID gadget”. Then I thought I’ll just get an answering machine with a “screening feature” so I could listen to who it is before I decide to pick up……you know the routine.

I made myself jump through a bunch of hoops, causing myself all this aggravation, just to try and beat these guys at their own game. Consequently I got even more frustrated with being dictated to by all these gadgets.

So when I changed my Paradigm, it was rather easy for me to turn this telemarketing problem into a benefit. Someone once said; “you can’t always control how people interact with you, but you can always control how you react to them”.

I’m a business man. I’m always looking for good quality people to partner with. Maybe some of these folks are looking for something better to do! I have never been a telemarketer, but I’m sure it’s not the most pleasant job in the world.

I now make a connection with the caller, I have genuine interest in them, ask them if they enjoy what they’re doing, and by the time we’re near the close of our conversation, they are wanting to fill out an employment application!

To this day, some of my best business associates were soliciting me at one time! Turning the table never felt so good! "...when the Usual and Accepted Way of Doing or Thinking about Something is Changed, Remarkable Results Happen".

Pay Your Heating Bill With Junk Mail!

Here’s another classic example of turning a negative into a positive!

I read this article some time back about this guy in the Midwest, where the winters can be brutally cold, and expensive to keep warm these days.

If you’re like most people, you get your share of “junk mail”. Some people have gone so far as to try and have their name removed off of as many mail lists and databases as possible.

This guy obviously had a Shift in his Paradigm! He gave it some thought, and figured out how he could lower his heating bill by receiving more junk mail! He thought of a way to heat his house with……you guessed it, junk mail.

He saw a device at the Fireplace & Patio store, that he could tightly roll newspapers into logs for his fireplace. He thought to himself……what if I replace the newspaper with all that junk mail I’m getting on a daily bases, would it work as well as newspapers?....it worked great!

He took it one step further. He now gives his name and address to anybody that wants to send him something in the mail. He now has his “fuel source” delivered right to his front door! No more buying firewood, no more chainsaws, no more trips and paying for firewood permits to the forest……and no more heating bills!"...when the Usual and Accepted Way of Doing or Thinking about Something is Changed, Remarkable Results Happen".

ParadigmPreneurs make Successful InternetPreneurs

We are all InternetPreneurs to some degree, after all you’re here! We use the Internet for Personal and Business motives. And we want what we’re looking for with as few clicks as possible. I don’t know about you, but in the years I’ve been on the Internet, it sometimes is a real challenge getting what I’m looking for in a timely manner. I have had my challenges while in Cyberspace, and in the last couple years I have had some wonderful success! My new found success is due to my Paradigm Shift in Behavior while in Cyberspace.

There has been a Phenomenom going on....Social Marketing/Network Marketing Web 2.0. One very powerful aspect of Social Networking is the "blog" short for "web log". A blog is a web site where entries are written in date order with the most recent entry (or "post") at the top of the page, and the oldest towards the bottom. In fact, the overwhelming popularity of blogs and social networking sites was a trend spotted by O'Reily Media back in 2003, when they coined the phrase "Web 2.0" to describe these "second-generation" new ways of using the web to collaborate and share with other users.

Entire blog communities have sprung-up, focusing on certain topics and connecting people with a common interest so that they can share ideas, make friends and even do business with each other around the world. And blogging does not stop there. Many blogs also carry "RSS" feeds, which update people who subscribe to them so that they do not have to revisit the blog to see if it has been updated.

The interactive nature of Social Networking sites keeps visitors coming back again and again. If you "monetize" this market of people wanting to learn more, socialize, have FUN, and being able to talk to each other LIVE, the potential is staggering.

Not only are Social Networking sites incredibly popular, but also they are making huge amounts of money for some people. Digital Media Wire (April 2007) reported that brands such as Adidas and Electronic Arts (games developer/publishers) attributed more than 70% of their marketing return to the word-of mouth effect within Social Networks. The Internet is the fastest-growing market place in the history of the world, but there is an online sector that is growing four times faster than the Internet overall...the "Online Entertainment/Skill Games" market.
